This course is for anyone interested in learning more about testing copper and fiber optic cabling installations. The installations could be local area networks, copper twisted pair cabling, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), internal and external fiber links, FTTx installations, coaxial cabling and FTTA (Fiber to the Antenna). The course looks at the most common field testers available for both copper and fiber media and discusses how to test successfully, what to test and the best methods of testing and troubleshooting.

Pre-requisite experience

A basic understanding of communications and cabling networks would be helpful as this course looks at testing and troubleshooting completed installations.
