This two-day, instructor-led certification course enables iBwave users to efficiently design CommScope DAS (FlexWave Prism, FlexWave Spectrum, and InterReach Fusion) solutions using current vex and template files. Attendees will more effectively design CommScope DAS systems, saving overall project time and cost.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course,the learner will be able to:

  1. Describe and compare CommScope products, specifications, and architecture
  2. Locate the CommScope VEX file
  3. Locate components in tool necessary for connectivity
  4. Establish connectivity between components
  5. Obtain correct output power from amplifier
  6. Determine number of fiber strands necessary for connectivity
  7. Calculate correct power per channel
  8. Identify where to adjust system gains
  9. Generate a BOM
  10. Demonstrate the ability to change study between CommScope products


  • Day 1 – Product Overview, CommScope DAS Design
  • Day 2 – Working with CommScope in iBwave, iBwave Templates, Case Study

Who Should Attend?

It is recommended for RF engineers, DAS designers and network operations managers from wireless service providers or neutral hosts, enterprise IT staff, and consultants.

Pre-requisite experience:

Must be iBwave Level 1 certified

*All registrants will be asked to provide their non-expired iBwave level 1 certification number. You may check your status by searching the iBwave certification registry.

Student equipment requirement:

Students must bring a laptop with them to class.

2-year DAS iBwave Design certification and 14 BICSI CECs
