SYSTIMAX Data Center Solutions [SP8820]

Introduce Data Center design, the SP8810 course covers this in more detail. Learn the copper and fiber requirements specific to Data Center design including pre-terminated options. Understand the media choices and overview the SYSTIMAX product solution options available for use in Data Center design.

Pre-requisite experience

It can be taken in isolation from other courses but it is recommended the student has a fundamental understanding of Data Centers which is covered in the SP8800 course. The combination of current SP3321, SP8800, SP8810 and SP8820 SYSTIMAX Data Center Solutions will acknowledge the student as a Data Center Specialist.


  • Understand the concept of the ‘Living Infrastructure’ within Data Centers
  • Ensure the correct installation procedures are covered for both copper and fiber media
  • Introduce the SYSTIMAX solutions specifically designed to support the Data Center environment
  • Look in detail at specialist Data Center solutions, InstaPATCH Cu, InstaPATCH QUATTRO, and SYSTIMAX ULL fiber
  • Understand the migration towards 40 and 100 Gbps interface support
  • Learn the testing and inspection requirements for warranty purposes
