Propel Installation [SP8430] - CommScope Infrastructure Academy

Summary:

This course covers the installation of the Propel panel, the module and adapter packs together with how to connect these together with MPO trunk cables. It also covers identifying and cleaning the MPO range of connectors as well as the LC and SN SFF connectors that are used for inter and cross-connects.

Recommended for anyone involved in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting the Propel Fiber Panel Solution

Pre-requisite experience:

No pre-requisite knowledge is required for this course but as this is designed for technicians and installers, previous exposure to fiber and data cabling installations would be advantageous.

Objectives:

This course is aimed at helping the student install the Propel fiber panel system. Starting with the installation into the rack or cabinet, the course works through the basic installation process and how the components fit together. The course provides hints and recommendations throughout using short video extracts, set-up procedures and how to check fiber polarity safely. It also explains the different MPO fiber connector styles, how they connect to the modules and adapter packs as well as cleaning and inspection.
