Data Center Warranty and Registration [SPDCWR] - CommScope Infrastructure Academy

Summary:

This course covers best practices and aspects of solution implementation specific to the range of CommScope DC products such as Propel fiber terminated solutions. The course covers design, inspection, testing and warranty requirements, and details how the solution warranty works, how it is applied for and registered.

Audience:

This course is intended for anyone who will be directly involved in the registration and application of the warranty for CommScope's Data Center Solutions. The primary audiences are CommScope DC partner technical support personnel, account managers, and technicians.

Pre-requisite experience:

No pre-requisite knowledge is required for this course. Previous exposure to DC infrastructure environments and a general understanding of IT and DC networks will all be helpful. 

Objectives:

• Provide a foundation of essential knowledge to support the registration of a warranty
• Understand cabling inspection fundamentals
• Introduce DC solutions & warranty
• Effects of fire and water damage to cabling and to the warranty
• Register and access the MyCommScope portal
• Learn about CommScope tools and resources
• Understand the importance of the Fiber Performance Calculator, and how it is used.
• Understand the test requirements for warranty registration
• Take students to the required knowledge level to complete warranties

Key Topics:

The course will begin by overviewing the CommScope warranty, its benefits, process and procedures. In the support lessons, CommScopes portal, resources and tools are reviewed in terms of selection and use. The fiber performance calculator is covered in detail. Best practice and warranty requirements for inspection and testing are included in this course.

Throughout the course, key requirements for the CommScope DC warranty are raised and discussed, together with the design and application of the relevant software tools.
