Its focus is specialist Data Center technologies, architectures, challenges and solutions. SP3321, SP8800, SP8810 and SP8820 SYSTIMAX Data Center Solutions will acknowledge the student as a Data Center Specialist.

For all CommScope SYSTIMAX Designers, Consultants & Customers involved in Data Center projects. The student is expected to already be experienced in SYSTIMAX Infrastructure Design and have taken the SP8800 SYSTIMAX Data Center Fundamentals course, which can be considered an introduction to Data Center Design.
The ideal pre-requisite for this course is qualification in SP3321 SYSTIMAX Design and Engineering but it is not mandatory as it's a useful fundamentals course for non-design students. For those about to be involved in Data Center design or specification then the ideal order and combination of courses will be: SP3321 D&E is the suitable pre-requisite to SP8800 Data Center Fundamentals. SP8810 Data Center Design and Engineering course then builds upon SP8800 and provides the student with the next level of design detail. The SP8820 Data Center Solutions provides a detailed look at SYSTIMAX solutions and their application in a Data Center environment. If all 4 courses are current then the student is recognized as a Data Center Specialist in the CommScope partner base.
This course starts with an overview of Data Center Solutions and moves quickly on to Infrastructure considerations including 'green' initiatives that are becoming so important in today's Data Center designs along with a detailed look at thermal management. Data Center Technologies includes the latest in trends, server and storage hardware and how these and Convergence technologies address the trends. Data Center Architectures provides a detailed look well beyond that of the SP8800 course looking at Direct Connect, Top of Rack, Zone, Unified Fabric and other cabling architecture concepts. The course then covers Planning for 10Gbps and beyond and is completed with a look at the increasingly important 'Intelligent Data Center'. SYSTIMAX Data Center Solutions are covered in the SP8820 course.
