SYSTIMAX Syllabus: Why SYSTIMAX SCS Training is so important
Our select group of Business Partners, offering the SYSTIMAX SCS and warranty,
need specific training programmes to support them and especially the end user
in achieving the optimum in design, installation and performance from the
products. A specific product-training programme is integral to the support of
the Applications Assurance programme and overall Warranty that SYSTIMAX Solutions
back.
Current independent cabling courses by their very
nature have to be generic. These courses generally concentrate on International
standards and often 'entry level' generic industry training. They serve to
improve the standard of design, installation and maintenance of cabling
solutions generally in the market. However they do not always address specific
vendor product 'design and installation' features and benefits.
We are
still in a vendor led industry with innovative companies such as SYSTIMAX Solutions
producing products often many years ahead of eventual standards. Products such
as GigaSPEED XL, X10D and LazrSPEED are such examples, where generic or standards
based training will not always be in a position to fully support SYSTIMAX SCS.
Courses based solely on standards are often not sufficiently comprehensive,
specific or even sufficiently technically based to be anything other than
generic. For instance, no specific Fiber & Copper 'Administration Area'
(patch panels) products or interfaces are specified within the standards, so
how does an attendee learn the benefits and capabilities of the 110 and
VisiPatch connector system for example.
Innovative products can also not
depend solely upon test standards or test products being available in time to
verify any sort of compliance - be they copper or fiber. This is not an overall
criticism of industry standards, training or even test equipment - It is the
way our industry has developed and will continue to do so.
Therefore if
you wish to know how to design and install a leading vendor product range such
as SYSTIMAX SCS a comprehensive and specific training programme is required to
support the product the warranty and the channel that delivers it.
If
you want to know:
- How to terminate an SYSTIMAX LC connector to LazrSPEED OM3 fibre
- Is surge protection on OSP a registration or warranty issue?
- What separation is actually required from a 63A radial power circuit over a distance of 70m?
- At what distance is an offset patch lead recommended for support of 1000Base-LX on OptiSPEED MM Fiber?
- Which combination of SYSTIMAX SCS copper products are allowed in a CP, X-Connect channel to maintain the huge guaranteed XL headroom above CAT6?
- Why do you terminate an MGS module differently at each end of the cable?
- How do you maintain Duplex and Gender continuity throughout an InstaPATCH Plus channel?
You are not going to find these answers anywhere other than a D&E or I&M course!
