Introducing the Training Passport Scheme
Want to renew your training Passport for 2010 ?
Then Sign-in using your Username and Password, select Training Passport > Passport Application, check your details and payment method.
During 2009 and throughout 2010 we will continue to expand the online training services provided, which offer flexible self paced training, online assessment, certification and ID badging and automatic updates to your courses for up to 2 years.

The Passport Scheme is designed to make the most use of the new Online course training material and to provide additional benefits.
The passport scheme runs from January to December and reduces the cost of training for Partners and Customers. For a single annual fee it allows unlimited access to all of the online training for as many students as you wish from your company. Classroom based LAB course prices are also reduced for individual students. In addition it will allow your Installation and Maintenance trained staff (ND3341) to participate in the Mentoring Scheme (see later).

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
When can my company buy a Training Passport and how?
You can buy a training Passport at anytime by contacting your SYSTIMAX representative or Cabling Science administrator directly.
Once my company has a Training Passport how do I book a course and take advantage?
When you buy a Training Passport it will require your company to nominate an administrator/Training manager responsible for the unique booking code. You can then go to systimaxtraining.com or to "training" via the CommScope.com site and reserve a course. The online basket will show the price for non-passport holders and the price for Passport holders (which will be $0 in the case of online courses) select this option and you will have to enter your companies Passport code.
What if my company does not buy a Training Passport?
Then you and your colleagues can continue to register for courses as you need them and the prices are on the previous page for non-passport holders.
Will Online courses be available in other languages?
Yes through 2009/10 we will continue to move more courses into other languages (see courses TAB for latest translation status and we will focus upon the most important topics such as Design and Engineering. For the latest language situation you can check the course on the WEB, contact your local representative or Cabling Science administrator. Classroom based courses will remain where possible with a local language Instructor.
What if I would prefer take it as an Instructor led classroom course or maybe the online course is not in my language at this time?
Should this be the case contact either your local SYSTIMAX representative or Cabling Science representative and we can arrange for a "Coaching course" with an Instructor and in most topics local language. In this instance a course price will be constructed based upon the number of students and any direct costs we will incur, passport etc. but it is likely to be considerably less than you would have paid in 2007 and previously.
What is the Installation and Maintenance Mentoring program? (Training your own staff in Installation Skills)
This program will only be available to companies holding a Training Passport. The objective of the program is designed to formalize installation skills training that you currently do in-house or on the job with installers who would not normally attend a full SYSTIMAX I&M (ND3341) class. It will allow you to nominate one or more of your Installation and Maintenance trained staff to apply for mentoring status. To achieve this your nominated mentor/s will need to have been I&M Recertified (using SP3341R to a pass or higher) or taken the SP3341M Installation Mentor Qualification and be current in the SP or ND3360 SYSTIMAX 360 Solutions course that now also recertifies the Installation and Maintenance.
They will then apply to become a mentor at which time we will allocate them access to a WEB area in which they can register a total of 10 students which your mentor can train in-house using SYSTIMAX downloadable video based material. Once completed SYSTIMAX will recognize those students under the (TSI) Trained SYSTIMAX Installer ID badge and certificate for either Copper Skills and/or Fiber Skills. There are no charges for this program beyond your company having qualified I&M staff and a Training Passport maintained each year of Mentor/Mentee support.
