This course is aimed at anyone who is involved in the designing and installation of wireless cellular infrastructures. The course details the importance of Passive Intermodulation (PIM) and Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) as well as how to measure and mitigate it. Students successfully completing this course will be recognized as certified in these two topics, which are fundamental to the wireless industry.

Online Self Paced Training:

Over the last decade, cell site architectures have been evolving from the legacy cell site architecture where large radios are located remote from the antennas, to an architecture wherein a separate RF portion of the radio can be located more closely to the antenna (RRH). The next stage in the evolution of the site architecture is the actual integration of the radio into the antenna and the distribution of the radio functionality across the antenna elements (Active Antenna).

Increasingly to support these changes in base station arcitecture and the latest signaling technologies, such as LTE the Cell site cable feeder infrastructures are having to move to fiber optic - FTTA (Fiber to the Antenna).

This course will provide a solid and detailed overview of Fiber optic technology, CommScopes relevant fiber solutions, fiber theory, installation and testing.

The Wired for Wireless Solution is a cost effective solution designed to allow Enterprise customers to prepare their buildings for full carrier-neutral and uniform wireless coverage. Partners will learn how to deploy broadband coaxial cable and antennas throughout a building during the construction phase. The solution paves a path for the in building wireless needs of today and tomorrow. The course introduces the market and its technology as well as the coaxial products and antenna, connectivity, horizontal design, installation and testing.

The course is aimed at our entry level partners or anyone who will be doing passive system design and installation and where the active equipment will be designed and installed by others. The course introduces the market and its technology as well as products and Coax and Fiber connectivity, specifically used in the CommScope In-Building Wireless Solution.

Classroom Based Course:

This course is designed to support CommScope In-Building Wireless products including ION^TM-B optical distribution system and Node A RF Enhancer. It combines detailed information about Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance and includes Practical hands-on operation of CommScope In-Building Wireless Products. The Course is generally held at the CommScope Richardson USA facility but contact us should you require other venues.

Classroom Based Course:

This course is designed to provide Installation Certification for CommScope Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). It includes practical hands-on installation, operation, and testing of CommScope In-Building Wireless Products. The course is generally held at CommScope’s Garner, NC USA facility. Contact us should you require other venues.

Specialized Site Master™ Line Sweep Training is an intense two-day instructor led training course that focuses on RF line sweep theory and technology.

Classroom Based Course:

Andrew Institute offers a training class on RET - remote-controlled variable electrical downtilt antennas - featuring our Teletilt® system. For anyone who works with communications systems, this hands-on course is a must attend. The half-day class covers defining downtilt through final inspection. RET training is offered in combination with a half-day class on VSWR fundamentals.

Please note: When attending Remote Control Variable Electrical Downtilt Antenna (Teletilt® Systems) training at our location, attendees must also register for our Connector Attachment training course.
