70% Hands-on course covering fundamental installation practices and requirements specific to the SYSTIMAX PowerSUM, XL and Fiber solutions. This course certifies students to warranty level for these products only.
Please note for students to be certified to warranty Installation and Maintenance for ALL SYSTIMAX products including 360-X10D, InstaPATCH Cu, IntaPATCH 360 and 360-iPatch should take ND3361 course (The Complete I&M) or alternatively this ND3341 and then the ND3360 SYSTIMAX 360 Solutions course in addition or reserve both at once using 'ND3361 The Complete Installation and Maintenance'. | ||||
This course provides a detailed overview of SYSTIMAX SCS terminology, concepts, standards and components. Methods used to install the SYSTIMAX structured cabling system. A thorough explanation of copper media products covering PowerSUM and GigaSPEED® XL and X10D, consisting of cabling, 110, VisiPatch™ & modular jack cross-connect components. Fiber components such as OptiSPEED®, LazrSPEED®, InstaPATCH® systems, indoor and outdoor cabling, ST, SC and LC connectors, splicing and the Fiber Optic Cross-connect systems are all explained. The recommended SYSTIMAX testing requirements for both copper and fiber are practiced as is calculation of fiber loss budgets.
Students will learn in workshops how to install & terminate to SYSTIMAX registration standards. Installation Quality is the key to the course. This course is designed for Structured Cabling Systems (SCS) technicians who install and maintain SYSTIMAX SCS copper and fiber products. The primary audiences are SYSTIMAX BusinessPartners and SYSTIMAX Solutions technical support personnel. The course focus is firmly based around staff involved in project or installer management on site such as foreman, team leaders, senior installers or quality control and inspection staff. The Course is certificated, ID 'Badged' and allows BusinessPartners to register SYSTIMAX sites for the installation & Maintenance aspect of the warranty. It includes the ND3300 Overview.
