The focus of this course is to take a detailed look at Broadband FTTX solutions. The course overviews the BrightPath™ solution, OSP safety, Right of Way Issues and BrightPath™ Solution installation. Recommended for any student involved in design, installation and project management of Broadband solutions. Please note that some modules* are common to other broadband courses.

OutSide Plant Safety* - Introduces OSP safety including, OSHA, MSDS, Safety issues, First Aid, Designating Work Areas, Hand Tool safety, Electrical Tool and Electrical Safety, Ladder Safety, Protective equipment, Confined Space Safety, Marking cables (APWA), Optical Fiber safety overview.

Right of Way* - Looks at Rights of way Maps, Permit applications, Identification & Eminent Domain, Installation and Damages, Installation and deviation.

BrightPath™ Solution Overview - This module covers the solution for Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and beyond the 'Home' application. Looks at the FTTX landscape, HFC evolution, differences from BPON and GPON, Splitter vs Tapped systems, Splicing, BrightPath advantages, HFC vs BrightPath, BrightPath Architecture, BrightPath components - Taps, Hub/Node, NID, NIU, Backup.
