Course Objective
Students undertaking this course will receive high quality training based on Uniprise Solutions, standards, regulations and methodologies, and will be able to apply the principles of cabling technology to projects using products manufactured or endorsed by CommScope.
Module Overview
1. This module introduces CommScope and the Uniprise structured cabling solutions
2. Transmission is a review of the transmission parameters, which are affected by the placement of the copper and optical fiber media.
3. Uniprise the Integrated Solution – Decisions, Customer environment, Trends, Challenges, performance, Cabling Costs, differentiators – DMD and ZWP fiber, what customers should ask for.
4. Copper Cable and Connectivity – covers UltraPipe, UltraMedia and Media 6, Ultra II and Uniprise Data-Pipe Solutions, cables and components.
5. Fiber Cables and Connectivity – details the Uniprise fiber solutions, including LightScope ZWP fiber, LaserCore and other multimode & jacket options. Part 2 covers connectors and Patch panel options, OSP and Building Entrance enclosures.
6. Coaxial cable and Connectivity – details coaxial structure, shield types applications and connectors.
7. Mixed Use Network Solutions – Explores solutions used in small commercial and residential environments, MXU distribution Centers, the MDU and module options and enclosures.
8. Network Applications – Technology drive, Performance, Cabling investment, Value propositions, Positioning Uniprise and solutions, planning for growth, Applications.
