Classroom Based Course: CommScope 'Certified Installers' must be knowledgeable of Industry Standards and CommScope Product offering. To maintain the designation 'Uniprise Certified Installer' they must successfully complete either this 1-day instructor led OR the online SPUCIR standards-based training course. This course covers current ANSI Standards 568, 569, 606 and 607, NFPA 70 (NEC-2005), and termination and testing of UTP, FTP, and Fiber. The UCI course requires re-certification every 3 years using UCIR or the online SPUCIR course. |
This course is designed to take a student currently qualified in the CommScope UCI or SPUCI course, and re-certify them in that qualification. The Uniprise Installer Training Program is designed to assure that the installer is qualified to properly install the Enterprise Network (both inside and outside plant) using products that comprise a Uniprise solution. The training course covers telecommunications Standards 568, 569, 606, 607 and 758 and NFPA 70 (NEC), C2-2002 - National Electrical Safety Code® (NESC®), OSHA Regulations (Standards-29 CFR) – 1910, (1910.268, Telecommunications and 1910.146, Permit Required Confined Spaces). Participants are instructed on proper methodologies required for planning, placing, terminating and testing copper (horizontal cabling) and fiber (building backbone and outside plant) media in the campus structured cabling system.
