| UCI - Uniprise Certified Installer | UCI - Uniprise Certified Installer | Classroom Based Course:
To become a Uniprise Certified Installer, installers must have successfully completed either this 4-day instructor led OR the online SPUCI standards-based training course.
The Uniprise Installer Training Program is designed to assure that the installer is qualified to properly install the Enterprise Network (both inside and outside plant) using products that comprise a Uniprise solution. The training course covers telecommunications Standards 568, 569, 606, 607 and 758 and NFPA 70 (NEC), C2-2002 - National Electrical Safety Code® (NESC®), OSHA Regulations (Standards-29 CFR) – 1910, (1910.268, Telecommunications and 1910.146, Permit Required Confined Spaces). Participants are instructed on proper methodologies required for planning, placing, terminating and testing copper (horizontal cabling) and fiber (building backbone and outside plant) media in the campus structured cabling system. The UCI course requires re-certification every 3 years using UCIR or the online SPUCIR course.

Course Objective
Students undertaking this course will receive high quality training based on current industry codes, standards, regulations and methodologies, and will be able to apply the principles of installation to projects using products manufactured or endorsed by CommScope.
Certification
Students attending courses will be sent their certificates following the course. Each Uniprise Contractor is required to have qualified staff in the Installation courses. Only these Installers can register sites and apply for the warranty. It is important that these installers are kept informed of the Design and Installation issues that affect registration. A re-certification process 'resets' the 3 year expiry period for the original course. Completing the course successfully will re-certify the student's original discipline. Please note that the 3 year expiry is from the time the student attended the course.
